Shingles vaccination
Shingles is a contagious illness caused by the reactivation of the chickenpox virus. This illness usually occurs in adults and elderly people who have already had chickenpox. The shingles vaccine is the best way to protect against this illness.
The shingles vaccine is offered free of charge to people aged 71 and older, as well as people aged 18 and older who are immunocompromised. This vaccine is available at local service points across our territory and in many pharmacies.
