Chronic pain
The Bas-Saint-Laurent chronic pain consortium (Consortium en douleur chronique du Bas-Saint-Laurent) was created to harmonize and maximize the services offered in the region for people living with chronic pain.
Chronic pain services offered
- Single access point for referral requests
- Assessment of physical, psychological and social condition by an interdisciplinary team
- Development and adjustment of medication treatment
- Infiltrations
- Education on pain management strategies
If necessary, you’ll have joint follow-up with the interdisciplinary team of the chronic pain consortium and your family doctor.
To book an appointment
You must be referred by a general practitioner or a specialist.
- The referring doctor must complete the consultation request form developed by the chronic pain consortium.
- The submitted request will be reviewed by the consortium staff, who will contact you.

Preparing for your appointment
Please bring the following items:
- The hospital card of the hospital where you have your appointment
- Québec health insurance card
- Recent pharmacological profile issued by your pharmacy
- Tests and documents provided or requested
If you are unable to attend an appointment, please contact the facility as soon as possible.
