Various consultation services are offered depending on the person’s needs. 


 

Psychosocial mental health consultation service

This professional, personalized and confidential service is offered to all individuals experiencing a mental disorder, which may include threatened mental health, a severe mental disorder, a transient disorder or an adjustment disorder, as well as to family members or close relatives.

The activities offered as part of this service include:

  • education
  • psychoeducation
  • support services
  • rehabilitation activities

Collaboration with community partners is also undertaken to improve each service user’s situation.

Psychological mental health consultation service

Psychological assessment helps guide treatment and interventions with the aim of preventing, treating and improving mental health conditions, emotional conflicts and skill deficits underlying a person’s mental state.

To this end, professionals within the CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent offer counselling sessions in individual, couple, family or group settings.

Psychological consultation services are provided by psychologists or other professionals who hold a psychotherapy licence issued by the Ordre des psychologues du Québec.
