Supervised apartment

The supervised apartment is a place where one or more users live under the supervision of CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent staff. The following services are provided: a support and assistance service and follow-up on the user’s mental health.

The apartment is furnished or semi-furnished, with heating and electricity. It serves as a jumping-off point for autonomous housing. Users stay there temporarily, until they’re healthy enough to move back into an apartment in the community.

The goals pursued for the user are:

  • Develop adequate personal health practices
  • Return to the community (work, school, community organizations)
  • Develop autonomy in the home (domestic and daily activities)
  • Stabilize their condition and provide mental health follow-up
  • Provide the supervision necessary for good functioning
