Adult motor impairment

The specialized services offered through the motor impairment rehabilitation program are intended for adults in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region who have a significant and persistent physical impairment affecting motor and language functions (neurological disease, stroke, syndrome or other conditions). These individuals experience disabilities and disabling situations that affect their ability to carry out activities of daily living.

Services adapted to individual needs

To meet the daily needs of users, families and their loved ones, adult motor impairment services are organized into two streams:

  • services focused on developing functional abilities;
  • services focused on adapting the environment to support optimal social participation.

Intake, analysis, guidance, and referral services (AAOR) is the main entry point to the CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent for CLSC service requests.
