Trauma rehabilitation
The trauma rehabilitation program is intended for people of all ages living in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region who have significant and persistent disabilities related to a traumatic brain injury or a musculoskeletal injury. The program also serves individuals living with severe burns, amputations requiring emergency microsurgery or spinal cord injuries.
Services adapted to individual needs
The program provides specialized rehabilitation services. A screening program is also available for individuals who have sustained a mild traumatic brain injury.
What are the objectives?
- Develop abilities related to motor activities, sensory and perceptual functions, behaviour, language and intellectual activities.
- Optimize the person’s independence in daily life and in fulfilling social roles.
- Analyze environmental factors and identify the best ways to increase the person’s social participation.

How to access services
Intake, analysis, guidance, and referral services (AAOR) is the main entry point to the CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent for CLSC service requests. This service receives your request, analyzes it, directs you to the appropriate service or refers you to the appropriate agency according to your needs. To access this service.
