Pregnancy follow-up
About 85% of pregnant women can receive care from a midwife during their pregnancy. These services are entirely covered by a valid RAMQ health insurance card.
First contact
The best way to determine whether this service meets your needs, based on your health and that of your child, is to book an appointment with us at the beginning of your pregnancy.
At the first appointment, the team of midwives will:
- get to know you;
- determine, with you, whether your health condition allows them to take responsibility for your care;
- give you information about how the follow-up will take place;
- answer your questions;
- allow you to visit the Colette-Julien birthing centre (if applicable).
Your partner or a loved one can be present at this appointment.
