Intermediate resource for seniors

An intermediate resource (IR) is a private organization associated with a Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux through an agreement. It offers a living environment, assistance services as well as transitional or long-term housing for people who are unable to live at home or in a private seniors’ residence. The CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent offers professional services. The cost for a residential resource is determined by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux based on the person’s financial situation.
