Private seniors’ residences
Private seniors’ residences (RPAs) are a type of residential resource for autonomous and semi-autonomous seniors. These residences provide certain personal care and assistance services. They are privately owned and managed by individuals. To obtain certification, they must meet government quality and safety standards.
A lease is signed between the RPA and the resident. The cost is determined by the residence based on its service offer.
You can consult the Registre des résidences pour personnes aînées on the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec website to find out about the residences available in your region.
